Learn all about the important elements that will hook and hold reader and editor interest in this course by award-winning fiction author Paula Roe. We will discuss what works and what doesn’t, how pace is your best friend, how to plant the seeds of your plot and how to edit and polish your writing for maximum impact.

NOTE: This course will start 6 November 2023 and run for the month of November. You will have access to the course until 31 December 2023 so you can download course materials. Enrollments close 12 November.
Your Instructor
Paula Roe is an experienced presenter and has been writing and delivering workshops, tutorials and talks for RWA, ARRA, community colleges, libraries and writing groups for over 20 years. A former office manager, workplace trainer, technical writer and fitness instructor, she has been extensively involved in RWA since its inception - as Secretary, Contest Co-ordinator, Conference Co-ordinator, a contest judge, Vice President and as RWA’s longest-running Hearts Talk editor. She has received RWA’s prestigious Lynne Wilding Award, is a RBY finalist and double-ARRA winner. She’s also a recovering contest addict, published nine novels with Harlequin, released a non-fiction historical biography under an alternative writing persona, has a Diploma in Graphic Design and is the owner of The Wordable Writer, a resource for writers.
